Our Work

Building Trust to Strengthen a Brand

Client

Jigsaw Education Group

Objective

How do you engage with an audience of secondary school decision-makers and prove your relevance on one of the most urgent issues facing schools today? Jigsaw Education Group, a trusted provider of PSHE and RE curriculum programmes, known for their quality and expertise in primary, needed to win trust in secondary schools.

With growing competition from other providers in primary education and strong ambitions to grow in the secondary market, the brand needed a fresh and more relevant presence to increase awareness, engagement, and lead generation among secondary decision-makers. Our job was to position Jigsaw as a leading voice in education.

“We have been absolutely blown away with the response to this campaign. We knew we had to raise our profile within secondary schools and this has exceeded our expectations.”
Sarah Holgate
Marketing Director of Jigsaw Education Group

Our strategy

We recommended an integrated PR campaign, combining media messaging with high value content across web and social channels, as we know this strategy is most effective in having an immediate impact on awareness and leads.

We ran some preliminary research, comparing content and engagement with competitors, to make sure this was the right direction to take. While competitors produced more content, Jigsaw’s engagement was three times higher, showing their audience really values and trusts what they have to say. By sharing more quality content, it was clear it would be well received and strengthen the brand’s position as experts in the sector.

The campaign

To stand out from the crowd, we needed a hook that would generate a lot of interest and interaction, so we looked at key issues and challenges facing teachers at the moment. Following the award-winning Netflix series Adolescence, the impact of online misogynistic influence on boys became a very hot topic. Comparing engagement around PSHE in general with articles on misogyny, the difference was dramatic.

We created a practical insight guide: How to Tackle Misogyny in Secondary Schools. We talked to teachers currently facing this issue and included real-life examples of how they are managing misogyny in their schools. We then used the content to drive traffic to the website and guide with organic and paid social, blogs, PR and media coverage, podcast interviews, speaker slots, and video content.
